Ace Hotel Seattle Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Ace Hotel Seattle, you immediately get that this isn’t your typical corporate hotel chain. The lobby feels more like a creative workspace mixed with a coffee shop — there’s this industrial-chic vibe with exposed brick, vintage furniture, and local art covering the walls. I mean, it’s definitely got character, and you can tell they’ve put thought into making it feel authentically Seattle rather than just another generic place to crash.
Location & Neighborhood
The Belltown location is honestly perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the tourist crowds around Pike Place. You’re literally a few blocks from the waterfront, and the Space Needle is right there when you step outside. What I really appreciate is how walkable everything is — you can easily stroll to Capitol Hill for dinner or catch a show at one of the nearby venues. The couples who stay here seem to love it (and I get why), because there’s something romantic about wandering these tree-lined streets, especially in the evening when the city lights start reflecting off Elliott Bay.
The Room Experience
The room design stays true to that artistic, slightly edgy aesthetic the hotel is known for. You’ll find vintage band posters, a turntable (yes, an actual record player), and furnishings that feel curated rather than mass-produced. The beds are surprisingly comfortable — I was worried they’d sacrifice comfort for style, but they actually nailed both. The bathrooms are compact but well-designed, with those subway tiles and rainfall showers that make you feel like you’re in a boutique apartment rather than a standard hotel.
Dining & Social Spaces
The ground-floor restaurant and bar area becomes this interesting social hub, especially in the evenings. It’s not stuffy at all — you’ll see a mix of hotel guests, local creatives, and business travelers all mingling together. The food is solid Pacific Northwest fare, nothing too fancy but executed well. What’s cool is how the space transforms throughout the day; mornings feel calm and coffee-focused, while nights bring more energy with live music or DJ sets happening regularly.
Why Guests Love It
This three-star hotel punches way above its weight class, honestly. You’re getting that boutique hotel experience without the pretentious attitude or sky-high prices. The staff actually seems to care about what they’re doing, and there’s this genuine sense that they want you to experience Seattle the way locals do. If you’re the type of traveler who appreciates authentic character over cookie-cutter amenities, you’ll probably fall for this place. The location score speaks for itself — you really can’t beat being this close to everything that makes Seattle special, from the music scene to the incredible food culture that’s developed in this neighborhood over the past few years.

Reviews of Ace Hotel Seattle
Candace from United States – 3 May 2025 (9/10)
Clean and cozy, budget friendly. I was surprised by the small rooms and the shared bathrooms at first but the rooms were adorable and clean and the bathrooms maintained very well. We had no issues for our one night stay. Could get a little cramped for a longer stay. You can upgrade to a deluxe room for a charge.
What could be improved: No elevator which was fine for us but I could see it being an issue for some for sure. Desk was very helpful and offered to carry our bags up but for anyone using a walker or wheelchair or who had problems with stairs this is not going to be your place. It is very loud at night. We were across from the comedy club and it was very loud until at least 3 or 4 am. I suggest leaving the tv on for background noise or using the complementary earplugs. They also have fans which was a nice touch for us fan sleepers.Sean from United States – 30 April 2025 (9/10)
The staff were very nice and accommodating. The rooms were really clean and nice too. Complementary breakfast was really great too with lots of quality products.
What could be improved: No complaints honestly. Would definitely stay here next time I’m in Seattle.Janet from Canada – 22 April 2025 (9/10)
great location for a show at the Climate Pledge Arena!

It was great! I loved it. Tho, there’s stairs so beware if you have mobility difficulties
What could be improved: It’s close by to a club so you might listen to the outside musicElisabeth from United States – 29 March 2025 (8/10)
The room was comfortable and had everything I needed. In the future I would prefer a room away from the front desk as the people checking in and out were noisy.

Loved the location and the aesthetic

The beds were very comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind and thoughtful, they gave us recommendations of nearby restaurants and attractions. Our room was clean and we loved the continental breakfast provided.
What could be improved: The rooms could get a bit stuffy. One of the rooms we were in the electrical outlet just stopped working which sucked because I thought my phone was charging through the night and it didn’t. Lastly some of the showers had like insane water pressure, felt like I was getting hosed down by a hydrant lolChris from United States – 11 November 2024 (9/10)
Great location and breakfast.

We’ve stayed at the Ace twice now, and it’s our favorite Seattle hotel: cute but non-pretentious, very friendly, in a great location near the water and some wonderful Belltown restaurants, and dog friendly.
Bruce from United States – 25 October 2024 (9/10)
I liked the eccentric decor. To me, the room had an "artist loft" feel. The barn door between the toilet and shower was especially interesting. And the retro turntable (which I could never figure out how to operate) and radio (which I did use) added to the quirky furnishings. The bed was very comfortable.
We arrived mid-morning but check-in was not until 3pm. However, the desk employee found us a vacant room and checked us in. In fact, the employees with whom we dealt were phenomenal! Tracy, Christine, and Autumn were more than accommodating. Their friendly demeanor made our trip to Seattle even more enjoyable.
What could be improved: I would have been nice to have an elevator, as we had to lug large suitcases up and down the stairs.
