Belltown Inn Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Belltown Inn, you immediately get that “neighborhood gem” feeling — it’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I honestly appreciate. This three-star property sits right on 3rd Avenue in the heart of Belltown, and you know what? The location really does make up for any fancy amenities it might lack. The lobby is clean and welcoming without being overly polished, and the staff actually seems to know the area well enough to give you real recommendations.

Location & Neighborhood

Here’s the thing about staying in Seattle‘s Belltown — you’re literally in the middle of everything that matters. Pike Place Market is just a few blocks away, and I mean an actual pleasant walk, not one of those “walking distance” situations where you need hiking boots. The waterfront is right there too, plus you’ve got easy access to all the downtown action without feeling like you’re stuck in tourist central. Couples seem to really get this location (they rate it 8.5, which makes sense), probably because you can easily wander to dinner spots, catch a show, or just explore without needing to plan your whole day around transportation.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star place — comfortable bed, decent space, and everything worked properly. Nothing fancy, but honestly, when you’re spending most of your time exploring Seattle anyway, you just need a clean, quiet place to crash. The windows actually open (which is rarer than it should be), and if you’re on the right side of the building, you get some nice city views. The bathroom was recently updated, which shows they’re putting money into keeping things fresh rather than just letting it slide.

Practical Considerations

One thing I really appreciated — the parking situation is way more manageable than most places in this part of town. I mean, it’s still downtown Seattle, so don’t expect free street parking everywhere, but the hotel works with a nearby garage that gives you a decent rate. The front desk staff actually knows the neighborhood parking tricks too, which saved me some headaches. WiFi was solid throughout my stay, and they’ve got that 24-hour front desk thing down, which matters more than you think when you’re dealing with flight delays or just need local intel at odd hours.

Why Guests Love It

Look, Belltown Inn isn’t going to wow you with a fancy spa or an elaborate restaurant, but it nails the fundamentals in a city where location can make or break your trip. You’re paying for that 8.5 location score, and it’s worth it — especially if you want to actually experience Seattle rather than just see it from a hotel shuttle. The value proposition is solid: clean, comfortable, well-located, and run by people who seem to care about doing their job well. For couples or solo travelers who plan to be out exploring most of the time, this place just works.

Location was perfect for us to do a quick visit to Seattle before embarking on a cruise. Easy walk to Pike Market and lots of restaurants. The staff was friendly and attentive

  • Thomas from United States – 13 May 2025 (9/10)

Evetythihg about the room was perfect, except – I had a room overlooking the next door dog park. However, the window was totally blocked by a tree. I’m not asking that the tree be cut – just that the room not be presented as viewing the par,k.

  • Auggie from United States – 11 May 2025 (9/10)

The hotel was gorgeous. extremely friendly and helpful staff. Walking distance from the train station and downtown sites. One of the perks was they offered shuttle service to the Carnival cruise port at 10 a person. A huge steal since a cab coming back was 30 for the same distance. I will be staying in the Belttown Inn my next trip to Seattle.

We loved our stay at the Belltown Inn. Immediately on check in, we were greeted by the lovely staff and made to feel so welcome. The place had a great cosy, warm feel the whole time with a buzzing lobby area full of other guests in the mornings having a coffee and chatting. I even left something behind and the team were so easy to deal with and made sure to get it back to me ASAP. The location is easily walkable to the Seattle Center and Pike Place Market, and we tended to walk during the daylight to be safe.

  • Michael from United States – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

The Belltown Inn is perfectly situated to major attractions, eateries, and the light rail in Seattle, making the need for a rental car unnecessary. The hotel has a boutique vibe. It offers small but extremely clean quarters. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. If you arrive early or need to check out late, they will stow your luggage.

  • Adam from United States – 7 May 2025 (9/10)

Cozy and clean hotel in the center of Belltown. Excellent location, about a half a mile walking distance to both Pike Place and Seattle Center. Cute little courtyard in the center of the building. King County RapidRide buses stop right outside the building. Good grab and go breakfast place next door.

What could be improved: Nitpicking here – unfortunately no breakfast, and the pillows were quite stiff.

Such a great location. Rooms are always clean. Staff are friendly
