First Impressions

Walking into Central Respite, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I need to be” feeling. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top — honestly, that’s what I loved about it. This three-star spot in Seattle has this understated confidence that comes from knowing it’s sitting in one of the best locations in the city. The lobby feels warm and welcoming, sort of like a well-designed friend’s living room rather than some sterile hotel space.

The Heart of Seattle

You know what really sets this place apart? The location is absolutely unbeatable — I mean, couples are rating it a 9.1 for location, and after staying there, I totally get why. You’re literally in the real heart of Seattle, which means Pike Place Market is basically a pleasant stroll away, and you can walk to most of the major attractions without dealing with the hassle of rideshares or figuring out the bus system. I actually found myself just wandering around the neighborhood in the evenings because there’s so much to discover within a few blocks.

The Room Experience

The rooms are exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without any unnecessary frills. Everything works the way it should, which honestly is more than I can say for some pricier places I’ve stayed. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the windows actually open, which is a nice touch when you want some fresh Seattle air. There’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped, and the bathroom is modern enough that you won’t miss home.

Practical Perks

What I really appreciated were the little things that make a difference when you’re traveling. The WiFi actually works well throughout the building — I was able to video call family from my room without any issues. The front desk staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they can point you toward the good coffee shops (and trust me, in Seattle, this matters) and restaurants that locals actually go to. There’s also parking available, which in downtown Seattle is basically like finding gold.

Why Guests Love It

Central Respite works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a well-run, comfortable place to stay that puts you right where you want to be in Seattle without breaking the bank. Couples especially seem to love it here — probably because you can walk to great dinner spots, catch a show, or just explore the waterfront without spending half your evening commuting. The 7.1 rating feels about right; it’s not perfect, but it delivers on what matters most: location, comfort, and value. If you’re looking for a straightforward, reliable base for exploring Seattle, this place hits the mark.

  The mattress was nice and it was close to the convention center. Which was nice because we were there for ECCC.
  
  What could be improved: The picture do not show the reality there are broken tiles in the bathroom that move and flip put when you step on them the toilet paper holder was almost falling off if you have more that two people they either have to sit on hard stools or the ground be cause the couch isn’t very big. You can’t open the fridge all the way due to art and the wall. One room has no working overhead light. There is no welcome package telling you about the functions of heaters available channels or streaming etc etc. The communication with vacasa was a nightmare. We would do what was asked be told it was done then receive text and emails saying we needed to complete more action etc etc call spe d over an hour on the phone multiple times to resolve the miscommunication. We asked if certain items like a vacuum would be available because we use space saver bags when we travel we were told no several times, after we purchased a tool to accomidate the need we found a vacuum in the first closet we opened. The was trash with dates from 2020 I. The drawers the was trash between the bed and side tables. The other room side tables lights would randomly stop working. And instead of fixing things they would cover it in paint even the heaters had thick layers of paint. Honestly we would have canceled just based of the vacasa communication. And run around they gave us, but we were one day past the refund day. After vacasa customer service and the state of the apartment we will avoid vacasa at all cost!

  The unit was really clean and well equipped, and was perfect for 4 to stay. The owners were super responsive for the couple of things we did need, and check in was a breeze. The location was unbeatable for the price as well – 20 minute walk to Pike place market!

  What could be improved: It wasn’t very clean. We had to clean the shower drain out because it was full of hair. Gross. The kitchen drawers were dirty for food/oil. Under the sick stunk.

  What could be improved: Firstly, we were never sent check in details and no one ever contacted us to schedule a tour / check in. The last email we received was for parking instructions and told someone would be reaching out 1-2 days before our trip to schedule a check in. We were told to park in the back lot, but no direction as to which number was the correct parking space. We ultimately had a warning sticker plastered on to our rental car window the morning we were leaving g to head to the airport. Apparently, we picked the wrong space, but thankfully we were not towed. By only luck were we able to get into the building by other guests leaving and holding the door open for us. The front door – all entrance doors are locked and you need a fob key or code to get in- which we had neither upon arrival with no one answering our calls via Vacasa or number provided on Booking at 4p our check in time. The only communication we received- and a quick response was to deny a check in request at 3p. When I asked for checkin details immediately after, we never got another response. Staying in #1211 the door to apt was open and keys on coffee table- thankfully since there was no one around to help us. The key fobs given to us did not work for the front entrance- only the back parking lot door which you had to go 2 Flights of stairs (w/ luggage) before getting to the nearest elevator. The parking lot in back is sketchy, very smelly, and not safe feeling at night. The apartment was fairly clean, but the dishes were filthy, no dish pods for dishwasher, 1 trash bag in kitchen trash (none in bathroom trash bin) and we were given 4 beach towels (new not even washed and filled with lint) 2 wash clothes, and 1 hand towel for 4 people for 3 night stay. There is no washer/dryer in unit or complex.
  The plug for the Roku was missing, obviously taken by a past guest. The tv remote batteries were mostly dead.

  Zwei Schlafzimmer für einen Urlaub mit Familie, perfekt.
  Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Alles war sehr sauber. Die Lage ist gut und das Stadtzentrum super zu Fuß erreichbar. Würden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen.
  
  What could be improved: Im Bad waren leider ein paar Fliesen beschädigt und locker.
