Close Downtown Modern Apartment – Pet Friendly, WiFi, Rooftop views Overview
First Impressions
The Close Downtown Modern Apartment – Pet Friendly, WiFi, Rooftop views sits on a quiet stretch of E Union Street in the Central District, and honestly, it caught me off guard in the best way. This three-star spot doesn’t try to be fancy — it just delivers exactly what it promises with a straightforward approach that actually works. You know what struck me first? The building has this understated modern vibe that fits perfectly into Seattle‘s evolving neighborhood landscape without trying too hard.
The Space Itself
Walking into the apartment, I was impressed by how much natural light floods the space — those big windows really make a difference on Seattle’s cloudier days. The kitchen is properly equipped (not just a mini-fridge situation), which means you can actually cook if you want to save some money or just prefer eating in. The modern furnishings feel fresh without being sterile, and there’s enough space to spread out comfortably. I mean, after spending days exploring the city, having a real living area to decompress in rather than just a hotel room makes all the difference.
Location & Neighborhood
Here’s where this place really shines — the Central District location puts you close enough to downtown without the tourist chaos. You’re about a 10-minute drive to Pike Place Market, but you’re also in one of Seattle’s most culturally rich neighborhoods with some seriously good local spots. The area has been transforming over the past few years, and you’ll find everything from Ethiopian restaurants to trendy coffee shops within walking distance. Parking can be a bit tricky on the street, but it’s manageable if you know the neighborhood rhythm.
Those Rooftop Views
The rooftop access is honestly the highlight — on clear days, you get glimpses of the city skyline that remind you why people fall in love with Seattle. It’s not a full panoramic situation, but there’s something satisfying about having your morning coffee up there while the city wakes up below. The space is simple but well-maintained, and I found myself heading up there more often than I expected. Pro tip: if you’re here during summer, the rooftop becomes your best friend for those long Pacific Northwest evenings.
Why Guests Love It
What really sets this place apart is how it balances independence with comfort — you get the freedom of having your own space while still being close to everything that matters. The pet-friendly policy is genuinely welcoming (not just tolerated), and the WiFi actually works reliably for those who need to stay connected. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the setup, probably because you get privacy and space to just be together without hotel hallway noise. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you consider that this isn’t trying to be something it’s not — it’s just a well-executed, modern apartment in a great location that delivers on its promises.
Locals suggest to book apartments in Seattle around Fremont for street murals, open mic nights, and lakeside patios.

The apartment was light, roomy and had everything we needed for our short stay in Seattle. It was next to the bus to take you downtown and had many good restaurants close by. A great place to stay in Seattle. The host Sebastian was very helpful.
