Comfort and Grace Perched on Queen Anne Hill Overview
First Impressions
You know what struck me first about Comfort and Grace Perched on Queen Anne Hill? The name actually delivers on its promise. This three-star spot sits right on one of Seattle‘s most charming residential hills, and honestly, the views from up here make you forget you’re staying at a boutique property rather than some fancy resort. The building itself has this understated elegance — nothing flashy, but you can tell someone put real thought into the details.
The Queen Anne Advantage
I mean, Queen Anne Hill is one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often miss. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Seattle Center and the Space Needle, but the area feels residential and peaceful. What I really appreciated was how easy it was to grab coffee at one of the local spots on Queen Anne Avenue — the hill has this village-y feel that’s pretty rare in the city. Plus, and this is huge, they offer free parking which is basically like finding gold in Seattle.
The Room Experience
My room was smaller than what you’d get at a chain hotel, but it felt thoughtfully designed rather than cramped. The windows — and this is key when you’re on Queen Anne Hill — actually showcase why you came here in the first place. I could see glimpses of Elliott Bay and the city below, especially in the evening when everything lights up. The bed was comfortable enough, and there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that feels more like a well-appointed guest room in someone’s home rather than a generic hotel space.
Practical Perks
Here’s what actually matters when you’re traveling: the WiFi works well, the shower has decent water pressure, and you’re not dealing with crowds of tourists in the lobby every morning. The staff seems to know the neighborhood really well — they pointed me toward a great little restaurant just down the hill that I never would have found otherwise. And that free parking I mentioned? It’s not just street parking you have to hunt for, it’s actually dedicated spots, which removes one major Seattle headache from your trip.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t the kind of place that’s going to wow you with a fancy lobby or room service, but it nails the things that matter for exploring Seattle. The location gets you close to major attractions without the tourist chaos, the neighborhood gives you a real feel for how locals live, and you’re not paying downtown prices for the privilege. Couples seem to really get it — there’s something romantic about being tucked away on the hill while still being close to everything. That 9.2 rating makes sense when you consider you’re getting authentic Seattle charm without the typical hotel hassles.

Loved the three bedrooms and bathrooms with privacy for each, worked well for children and adults. Loved the large kitchen and off-street parking. Location was good for our activities at Seattle Center and waterfront.
What could be improved: Some children's games or books would have been helpful!
In the lower bunk room, some of the blinds were broken, that made us a little uncomfortable in that someone outside could see into the room/beds.Kathy from United States – 10 October 2024 (9/10)
This home was in a central location for the zoo and aquarium, which was perfect for our visit.
What could be improved: Parking our van was nearly impossible! We could not fit or maneuver into the allocated parking spot by the garage. We ended up loading and unloading kids and luggage, then finding a parking spot on the street.Céline from France – 17 September 2024 (9/10)
Brittany from United States – 8 August 2024 (9/10)
I love how much care and effort the hosts put into making it a great experience.
What could be improved: While I understand it's probably pretty typical for Seattle, the parking was a little awkward and difficult to manage.James from United States – 15 July 2024 (9/10)
