Seattle Marriott Waterfront Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Seattle Marriott Waterfront, you immediately know you’re somewhere special. The lobby has this modern Pacific Northwest vibe that feels polished without being stuffy — honestly, it’s exactly what you’d hope for in a four-star hotel right on Elliott Bay. The floor-to-ceiling windows frame the water perfectly, and I mean, you can actually see the ferries gliding by while you’re checking in. It’s one of those moments where you realize your vacation has officially started.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s the thing about Seattle — location is everything, and this place nails it. You’re literally steps from Pike Place Market (I’m talking a five-minute walk), but you’re also right on the waterfront where the cruise ships dock. The Belltown neighborhood gives you that urban energy without the chaos, and honestly, couples seem to get this — they rate the location 9.2, which makes total sense when you’re strolling along the waterfront at sunset. You know what’s great? You can walk to pretty much everything downtown, but when you want to escape the city buzz, the water is right there.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in had this clean, contemporary feel with those signature Marriott touches that actually work. What really got me was the view — if you snag a waterfront room, you’re looking out at Elliott Bay and the Olympic Mountains on clear days. The beds are genuinely comfortable (not just hotel marketing speak), and the bathrooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping elbows with your travel partner. Little details matter too — the blackout curtains actually block light, and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a freight train.
Dining and Practical Stuff
Breakfast here is surprisingly comprehensive — they’ve got continental options, but also vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The buffet setup works well, especially when you’re trying to fuel up before a day of exploring. The restaurant on-site is solid for dinner too, though honestly, with Pike Place Market so close, you might find yourself wandering out for food adventures. Parking is available, which is actually a big deal in Seattle — trust me on this one, street parking downtown can be a nightmare.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is how it balances being a proper business hotel with that Pacific Northwest hospitality. The staff genuinely seems to know the area — they’ll point you toward the good coffee shops (and there are many) or help you figure out the ferry schedule to Bainbridge Island. It’s not trying to be the flashiest hotel in town, but it delivers on the fundamentals while putting you right in the heart of everything that makes Seattle special. When you’re paying for a waterfront location, you want it to actually feel like you’re connected to the water — and this place delivers on that promise.

Reviews of Seattle Marriott Waterfront
Clint from Canada – 29 March 2025 (8/10)
It was nice in a great location but very overpriced. When we got there we found out that there were:taxes (which we expected), plus a resort tax plus fifty eight dollars to park our car. In the end, unless you don’t care about cost and really need waterfront, I would look elsewhere.

Hotel is in a great location to walk to Pike’s Place, the pier and Aquarium. The room was clean and quiet, and the shower was hot.
Mikhail from United States – 27 December 2024 (7/10)
What could be improved: Check in happened way after 4PM and despite the apparent rush. I was hoping for an early check in, but I didn’t get the room until I complained.
