Seaview Hideaway Heated Floors, free parking Overview

First Impressions

The Seaview Hideaway Heated Floors, free parking caught my attention immediately — honestly, it’s one of those places where the name tells you exactly what you’re getting. This four-star gem sits tucked away in West Seattle, and I mean that in the best possible way. You know what struck me first? The heated floors, which sounds like a small thing until you’re padding around barefoot on a chilly Pacific Northwest morning. The attention to detail here sets the tone for everything else you’ll experience during your stay.

Location & Neighborhood

West Seattle gets overlooked by a lot of visitors, but that’s actually their loss. The hotel sits on 48th Avenue Southwest, which puts you in this quiet residential area that feels worlds away from downtown’s hustle. I love that you can walk to Lincoln Park in about ten minutes — it’s got these incredible Sound views that most tourists never discover. The ferry rides to Vashon Island are right there too, and honestly, couples seem to figure this out pretty quickly. The location scores a solid 9.1 with recent guests, especially pairs looking for something romantic and peaceful.

The Room Experience

Let me tell you about stepping into your room here — those heated floors aren’t just a gimmick. They’re radiant heating, which means your feet stay warm even when Seattle’s doing its typical drizzle thing outside. The seaview part of the name delivers too, though I should mention not every room gets the full water vista. What impressed me more was the attention to comfort details — good blackout curtains, actually decent water pressure, and windows that open. You’d be surprised how many hotels skip that last one, but this place gets it right.

Practical Perks

The free parking situation is honestly a game-changer in Seattle, where downtown hotels will charge you $40+ per night just to park your car. Here, you pull right up without worrying about meters or time limits. It’s one of those things that saves you money and stress — especially if you’re planning day trips around the region. The whole setup feels more like staying at a well-appointed friend’s place than a typical hotel. That’s exactly what they’re going for, and they succeed beautifully.

Why Guests Love It

This place scores an 8.7 overall, and after spending time here, I get why. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-the-top — instead, it nails the fundamentals that actually matter when you’re traveling. The heated floors, the genuine seaviews, the free parking, and that tucked-away West Seattle location all add up to something pretty special. Couples especially seem to connect with the vibe here, probably because it feels intimate without being stuffy. You’re close enough to reach downtown Seattle when you want city energy, but far enough away to actually relax when you don’t.

The location was good. The kitchen was fully stocked. friendly host. We basically just slept there so adequate for a basement apartment and
if just for a short stay.

What could be improved: The wall between the bedrooms did not go through to next floor. Very poorly done and you could hear everything between the walls like it was one bedroom so no privacy. No mirrors in the bedrooms so everyone needed the bathroom mirror to get ready.

This was not a B&B, but there was a full kitchen to prepare our own food
    Very walkable neighborhood

What could be improved: No complaints

The location along with the overall value for the rental house was good. The location was in the basement of the house – not the "whole property" but was cool and noise level was good overall. The heated entry floors and bathroom was a nice touch. The instructions binder was very informative and had good guidelines to read, follow, and provide insights to various electronic equipment in the rooms. The basement was clean and a good pick for someone who needs a kitchen, some privacy, and basic comforts minus the noise and bustle of a hotel room.

What could be improved: Overall, the rental was good. The following are based upon my experience with the rental and may not reflect future rental from other parties. The driveway was a little tight to navigate any luggage or bags to the property due to one side had a rose bush and the owner’s car was parked in the driveway (very minor issue). The gate to the property and rental was a bit of a challenge to open and shut due to the angle of the driveway (very minor issue). When checking out on the last day, I was mildly surprised to meet the owner and there was a miscommunication between the owner and bookings.com on check out time – I was informed that it was at 11 am but the owner assumed that it would be 10 am (this has been corrected while I was checking out). The bathroom sink was a little of a challenge as it is small and narrow – difficult to wash your face without spilling water on the floor (very minor issue). Lastly, the bathroom sink floor had a slightly elevated drainage hole (which had a carpet covering it) that could be an issue for someone not aware or has physical limitations (could stub their toes or other things). Also (this is very minor insight and personal observation) – the shower curtain was a plastic curtain that was folded in half to fit the shower doorway – this could have been cut in half at the fold to create an inner liner and outer curtain.
