W Seattle Overview
First Impressions
Walking into W Seattle, you immediately get that sleek, modern vibe that the W brand does so well. The lobby has this dramatic lighting and contemporary art that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into something special — honestly, it’s the kind of place where you want to linger with a cocktail. Located right on 4th Avenue in the heart of Seattle‘s business district, this four-star hotel puts you exactly where you want to be, whether you’re here for work or exploring the city.
The Location Advantage
You know what really struck me about this place? The location is absolutely perfect for getting around downtown. Pike Place Market is just a few blocks away, and you can easily walk to the waterfront or catch a game at T-Mobile Park. I mean, couples consistently rate the location a 9.6 out of 10, and after staying here, I totally get why. There’s something about being able to step outside and immediately be in the thick of everything that just makes a trip feel more authentic. Plus, having private parking at the hotel is actually a huge deal in downtown Seattle — trust me on this one.
The Room Experience
The room itself really delivers on comfort, and I have to say, the beds live up to their reputation. When a hotel gets consistently high marks for “very comfy beds,” you notice the difference — the linens are crisp, the pillows hit that perfect balance, and you actually wake up feeling rested. The design keeps that signature W aesthetic with bold colors and modern touches, though it never feels cold or sterile. The windows offer solid city views, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling cramped.
Dining and Amenities
The American breakfast here is straightforward but well-executed — nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done with quality ingredients and good coffee. What I really appreciated was how the restaurant staff seemed to genuinely care about the experience rather than just going through the motions. The hotel’s amenities feel thoughtfully curated rather than overwhelming, and the fitness center is actually usable (not just a token gesture with broken equipment like some places).
Why Guests Love It
Honestly, this hotel just works on multiple levels. The combination of that prime downtown location, genuinely comfortable accommodations, and the W brand’s attention to style creates something that feels both practical and special. Whether you’re here for business meetings in the financial district or planning to explore Seattle’s food scene and attractions, you’re positioned perfectly. The fact that it consistently scores an 8.1 overall rating tells you that guests are getting what they expect — and often a bit more.
Hotels in Seattle ring Pike Place alleyways, techy waterfronts, and coffee-scented lanes.

Reviews of W Seattle

The bar/lounge was very comfortable and fun. Good music and good food and drinks.
Our room was very nice with a lovely view.
What could be improved: We prefer having a refrigerator and microwave available in the room. Having alcohol, and mixers along with chips and candy in a drawer is only an uncomfortable tease for people on special diets.Donwil from United Arab Emirates – 17 October 2024 (9/10)
Staff, room, location all good!
What could be improved: Accessing the hotel with luggage was a bit of challenge. The access for pedestrians had steps, if you have heavy luggage you need to access from the driveway which was a challenge with luggage as cars were present, so had to squeeze in between as not much space. Maybe it was bad timing for me. Otherwise everything was really good!Rick from United States – 6 September 2024 (9/10)
Centrally located to our planned activities, so driving or taxi’s would not be necessary. Hotel was clean and service was excellent.
What could be improved: $1,495.50 for three nights was excessive! The “spectacular” view from our room was the neighboring building. No view of water or city as expected.Strong from United States – 21 June 2024 (8/10)
The location was great, the bar was awesome and the staff was very helpful
What could be improved: The pillows were awfulS from United States – 23 May 2024 (8/10)
Our room was large, but the bathroom was kinda small for two people to get ready. We liked that our room had available snacks and drinks, that was nice, BUT all water should be free!!
What could be improved: We didn’t have any food, we had drinks at the bar before going out shopping, later in the evening after dinner, we wanted to open our wine and forgot our wine opener, so you should have wine openers in the room or available at the front desk, NOT have to go to the bar on a busy Friday night and get a wine opener there.Margaret from United States – 21 March 2024 (9/10)
Clean and comfortable. Nice view, though not amazing.
What could be improved: Too expensive.Linda from United States – 25 September 2023 (8/10)
Very convenient downtown location. I skipped the $68 valet and parked next door in the 24-hr lot for just $45. W maintains an ultracool image and the public spaces are low-lit. Staff was extremely helpful at checkin and when I picked up my sushi dinner delivery. I was upgraded to a suite at checkin so had more space than typical. Bath was roomy and provided a robe. Bed was excellent especially the pillows. Lots of windows in the suite and most had blinds to keep out the light—this was especially useful as my room faced the 24-hr parking garage with its 24-hr lights. Room service breakfast was prompt and tasty, and server was friendly. Elevators were excellent!
What could be improved: Music and noise from the bar was audible up on the 7th floor late into Saturday night. Cost of room service meant a $40 breakfast of coffee, pastries, and scrambled egg.Reeves from United States – 18 September 2023 (8/10)
The room was clean and comfortable.
What could be improved: I paid for a view but didn’t get one.Michael from United States – 13 July 2023 (8/10)
Location was nice. Not a typical hotel with large lobby but nice and liked it that way.
Room was okay. Hardwood floor would suit the room and style of the lobby better. Also for hygiene reasons..
What could be improved: Location is good. Walking distance to the peer and Pike Place Market if you are okay with the hilly situation in Seattle.
Valet parking is overpriced but convenient traveling with kids and late arrival.Kim from United States – 27 May 2023 (9/10)
