I mean, couples absolutely love this area — they’ve rated the location 9.3 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. The streetcar stops right outside, which makes getting around the city ridiculously easy.

The Room Experience

The rooms at citizenM Seattle South Lake Union are compact but incredibly smart — think European efficiency meets Silicon Valley innovation. Everything’s controlled through a tablet mounted by the bed, from the lights to the blackout blinds to the temperature. It took me about five minutes to figure out, but once you do, it’s actually pretty cool. The bed itself is fantastic — firm but comfortable, with crisp white linens that feel expensive. The bathroom is tiny but functional, with a rain shower that has surprisingly good pressure. What really impressed me was the soundproofing; even though you’re in the heart of the city, the rooms stay remarkably quiet.

  Friendly concierge and bar staff. Good bar snacks food and very good drinks. It was quiet and relaxing and the customizable lighting is also very nice. Great shower too.
  
  What could be improved: They were running a test and replacement of the smoke detectors in the rooms and my girlfriend was trying to shower at that time so I asked them to come back later. They came back in about 10 minutes while she was in the shower. I drew the curtain but I didn't feel comfortable with 2 strange men being there while she showered. She was also uncomfortable with that. They couldn't see anything and they were quick but it wasn't ideal. All that being said it was a generally excellent experience. We would absolutely come back.
