Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle-Downtown Overview
First Impressions
Walking into the Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle-Downtown, you immediately notice how the lobby feels both polished and welcoming — not stuffy like some chain hotels can be. The staff actually seems happy to see you, which honestly makes a difference after a long travel day. Located right in the Queen Anne neighborhood, this three-star hotel sits perfectly between downtown Seattle and some of the city’s most interesting areas. You know what really struck me? The place has that rare quality where it feels both professional and genuinely comfortable.
The Location Sweet Spot
Here’s the thing about Queen Anne — it’s one of those neighborhoods that locals love but tourists often overlook. You’re literally a few blocks from Pike Place Market and the waterfront, but you’re also close to Seattle Center where the Space Needle lives. I mean, you can walk to Kerry Park for those iconic city skyline photos, and it’s maybe a 15-minute stroll. The area feels residential enough that you’re not constantly dodging crowds, but urban enough that there’s always something happening. Plus, having private parking at the hotel is honestly a godsend in this city — anyone who’s tried to park downtown Seattle will tell you that.
Sleep Quality That Actually Delivers
Let me tell you about the beds — they’re genuinely comfortable, not just hotel-marketing comfortable. The room I stayed in had this perfect balance of being spacious enough to spread out but cozy enough to feel like a retreat. The blackout curtains actually work (you’d be surprised how often they don’t), and the air conditioning runs quietly. What really impressed me was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, plenty of outlets where you need them, and a bathroom that doesn’t feel cramped. The suites give you that extra living space that makes longer stays feel less like camping out.
Morning Fuel Done Right
The breakfast situation here is actually solid — they do this continental and American buffet setup that covers all the basics plus some. Fresh fruit, decent coffee (not amazing, but definitely drinkable), and they usually have both healthy options and the comfort food you sometimes crave on vacation. The dining area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you’re an early riser, you’ll have the place mostly to yourself. I appreciated that they keep it stocked throughout the morning hours, so even if you’re not a crack-of-dawn breakfast person, you’re not stuck with picked-over leftovers.
Why Guests Love It
What makes this place work is how it nails the fundamentals without trying to be something it’s not. You get reliable comfort, a genuinely useful location, and service that feels personal rather than scripted. The fact that couples rate the location so highly tells you something — this isn’t just about convenience, it’s about being in a spot where you can actually enjoy Seattle. Whether you’re here for business or exploring the city, you’ll find yourself coming back to a place that feels like a good home base rather than just somewhere to crash.

Location, amenities, friendly staff, Steph, awesome room!
What could be improved: Breakfast is standard, sugary, un nutritious hotel food. Easy for providing a breakfast for a lot of hotel guests, but unappealing for us.Regenia from United States – 9 May 2025 (9/10)

Ease of check in, great room and personable staff

Better than expected in an urban setting.
What could be improved: There was no “walkers” exit door to the outside parking lot from the parking garage inside.Saul from United States – 5 April 2025 (9/10)
Accessibility and breakfast where great!
What could be improved: The bed frames are very delicate and made the bed unstable. We only used it to sleep but even then I couldn’t move at night without making a lot of noise.Dolan from United States – 4 April 2025 (9/10)
Super friendly staff, great location

I was recognized as a returning guest at the reception desk, and as our room was not yet ready, we got upgraded! The room was huge, and we had a view of the Space Needle. Cleanliness and comfort were, as always, exceptional, and the breakfast buffet the next morning was filled with sweet and savory options.

Housekeeping did a good job in cleaning the room everyday. Front desk staff are efficient and friendly. Nice to have two bottled water on check in day (hope we could have two every day and not just check in day). Breakfasts are decent. However the exercise room is very far and buried in the “basement”. Overall is comfortable.

Picked the location for concert at climate pledge; close walking distance, I liked the store around the block, in case you needed something. Would stay here again!
