The room I stayed in was well-designed for the space they’re working with — downtown Seattle real estate isn’t exactly generous, but they’ve made smart use of every square foot. The beds are comfortable (important after a day of walking those hills), and the windows actually open, which is rarer than you’d think in modern hotels. The bathrooms are updated and functional, though not particularly spacious. What I appreciated most was the workspace setup — clearly designed with business travelers in mind, but useful for anyone who needs to catch up on emails or plan their next day.

The breakfast situation here is actually pretty impressive — they’ve got vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options covered, plus classic American fare and even grab-and-go options if you’re rushing to catch a ferry or make a meeting. The restaurant staff seemed to understand that people have different schedules and dietary needs, which isn’t always a given. I tried the breakfast to-go option one morning when I wanted to eat at Pike Place, and it held up well for the short walk.
