First Impressions

This four-star apartment rental sits right on Stone Avenue North, and while it might not have the flashy lobby of a downtown hotel, it’s got something better: actual space to breathe and all the practical stuff that makes a stay genuinely comfortable.

The Space Itself

The room — well, it’s really a full apartment — actually lives up to that “spacious” promise in the name. I mean, after staying in cramped hotel rooms where you can barely open your suitcase, walking into a place where you can actually spread out feels pretty great. The kitchen is fully equipped, which saved me a fortune on takeout during my week-long stay. There’s a proper dining area, a living room where you can actually relax, and the bedroom has enough space that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you get up. The wifi works reliably too — I had video calls for work without any issues.

Location and Getting Around

Northgate turned out to be one of those neighborhoods that locals know about but tourists often miss. You’re about 15 minutes north of downtown Seattle by car, but honestly, the light rail connection makes getting around pretty easy. The Northgate Station is close enough that you don’t need to drive everywhere, though having that free parking spot was clutch when I wanted to explore places like Pike Place Market or head out to the mountains for a day trip. There’s a decent grocery store within walking distance, plus some solid local spots for coffee and casual meals.

The Practical Perks

Here’s what I really appreciated — the building has a gym that’s actually usable. Not some tiny room with two broken machines, but proper equipment that meant I didn’t have to hunt down a day pass somewhere else. The parking situation alone probably saved me $20-30 a day compared to downtown Seattle rates. And look, when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights, having a washer and dryer in the unit instead of schlepping to a laundromat or paying hotel prices makes a real difference.

Why Guests Love It

I can see why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something nice about having your own space instead of being on top of each other in a standard hotel room. You can cook breakfast together, have a glass of wine in the evening without sitting on the bed, and just feel more settled. The whole setup works especially well if you’re in town for more than just a quick weekend, or if you’re using Seattle as a base to explore the Pacific Northwest. It’s not fancy, but it’s thoughtfully done and priced fairly for what you get.

  The place is big and in a quiet neighborhood. Important the place is very clean and the bed really comfy.
  
  What could be improved: If really need to pick a thing to be negative, that will be the parking lot. The parking in this apartments area was too narrow, not very friendly for big car.

  The space was great and conveniently located for what we needed. The building was well maintained and we were able to do everything with ease. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with main items and also had a few seasonings and oil and whatnot to help with cooking at home.
  
  What could be improved: The parking space is a bit tight so having a larger car would have been difficult. There were a few items that didn’t work like the fireplace and a plug in the bedroom. This really wasn’t an issue for us but just something to consider.

  I had a delightful two-night stay at this apartment with my dog, and everything was exactly as listed—very clean, well-maintained, and stocked with all the essentials for both short and extended stays.
  
  The kitchen was thoughtfully equipped with basic seasonings, coffee, a variety of pots and pans, and dinnerware, making meal prep easy. The bed was comfortable, and the overall space felt cozy yet functional. Security was excellent, which provided peace of mind.
  
  One thing to note: there was no prior disclosure about the number of stairs. If you’re traveling with heavy or multiple pieces of luggage, this could be a challenge since there’s no elevator. It would have been helpful to know this in advance. Because of this, I’d rate my stay 9 out of 10 instead of a perfect score. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!
  
  Great place for dogs, too! There are multiple dog poop stations on the premises, and the residential neighborhood has plenty of space for walks, along with nearby park areas. The neighbors were friendly, making the atmosphere even more welcoming.
  
  The location was convenient, just a short drive to stores and shops—Home Depot is right behind the building, and I easily found a UPS and AT&T store nearby. While not within walking distance, everything was just a quick drive away. Parking was also easy to find.
  
  Food delivery is possible, though due to the security setup, you may need to step outside the gate to meet the driver downstairs.
  
  Overall, this was a great, secure, and pet-friendly stay. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a well-equipped and comfortable place in the area!

  The host/property manager was very attentive to my needs.
  
  What could be improved: The parking space was very constricting. There were 2 posts on either side which made it very challenging to park the car without touching the posts.

  The property was super clean, exactly as described
  Excellent communication with the property management company
  The condo as a fully working kitchen with appliances, also some spices, oils, etc available for new guests. The washing machine/dryer makes it perfect for longer stays as well.
  
  What could be improved: The parking spot is very close to the entrance but only useful for a small (regular) car; our SUV did fit but only with a 2 inch gap on either side. It’s not the owner’s fault, since that’s the spot it’s coming with. The good news is there is free parking just outside of the condo complex and we were fine.
  The condo is located on the 3rd floor; there is no elevator. Just good to know for anyone having difficulties with stairs.

  Easy self check in. With parking spot and gym. Clean apartment especially the floor. Kitchen is equipped with almost everything that you would need.
  
  What could be improved: Not the best location… but still convenient. It smells a bit off in the bedroom. I would suggest the cleaning crew to wash the blanket more regularly. No ac like most apartments in Seattle but there’s a fan just in case. Wasn’t a problem during my stay in April.
