Modern apartment near light rail Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to Modern apartment near light rail, I’ll be honest — it doesn’t look like much from the outside. This three-star spot sits quietly on 35th Avenue South in a residential neighborhood that feels refreshingly real compared to downtown Seattle’s tourist hustle. But here’s the thing: sometimes the best finds are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the street.
Location & Getting Around
You know what really sold me on this place? The light rail access — and I mean actually convenient access, not the “just a short walk” nonsense you usually get. The station is close enough that you can easily zip into downtown Seattle or catch a flight without dealing with traffic nightmares. I watched couples coming and going during my stay, and it’s clear why this spot gets such high marks for romantic getaways. The neighborhood has this quiet, lived-in feel that lets you experience Seattle like a local rather than a tourist.
The Space
The apartment itself surprised me — it’s genuinely modern without being sterile. The kitchen actually works for more than just reheating takeout, which is rare in places like this. My room had this clean, minimalist vibe that felt intentional rather than cheap. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details: good lighting, decent WiFi, and — this might sound silly — but the shower pressure was actually solid. Sometimes it’s the basics that make or break a stay.
The Neighborhood Experience
Here’s something most travel sites won’t tell you: this area gives you a real taste of residential Seattle life. There’s a great little coffee shop about two blocks away that locals actually frequent, and the whole stretch feels safe for evening walks. I mean, you’re not going to find fancy restaurants on every corner, but that’s sort of the point. It’s authentic in a way that downtown hotels just can’t match. Plus, parking isn’t the usual Seattle nightmare it can be in more central locations.
Why Guests Love It
That 9.2 rating honestly makes sense once you spend a night here. It’s not trying to be something it’s not — just a well-executed, comfortable place to stay that happens to be perfectly positioned for exploring the city. The couples who rave about this place get it: sometimes you want somewhere that feels like a home base rather than a hotel experience. You can cook breakfast if you want, or easily hop on transit to find that perfect brunch spot downtown. It’s the kind of place that works whether you’re planning romantic dinners out or quiet nights in, and in a city like Seattle, that flexibility actually matters more than you’d think.
Seattle hotels pair craft roaster cuppings, speakeasy jazz, and concierge-led Puget Sound cruises.

This apartment is well maintained, clean, modern, and stocked with whatever you may need to be comfortable. Communication with the owner was quick and clear. The location was wonderful. less than a 5-minute walk to the trolley stop and we were on our way to Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, the water front, Capital Hill, etc. We're going to go on an Alaskan cruise next year and will book this apartment for the night because the trolley will take us right from the airport to the cruise docks.

What could be improved: Everything was fine no problemDebbie from United States – 6 September 2024 (8/10)
This was so great to stay at while enjoying an event in downtown Seattle. Easy to ride the link light rail with no worry about parking in town. Wonderful communication from manager and property was described and shown exactly as it was found. It was quite and cozy.
What could be improved: A little pricier than I would have liked, but everything in the City is overpriced ~ so I can say it is a good value for the space. Coming in late at night, the TV was a bit frustrating to figure out.Devre from Canada – 17 July 2024 (10/10)
Very clean, nice amenities, great communication, very comfy furniture!

Clean, location worked for what we needed.
What could be improved: It'd be nice to have a place to put the suitcases up while I packedJoan from United States – 6 May 2024 (9/10)
Neighborhood is quiet and parking is easy and free. Has everything you need: laundry/iron; bath and feminine toiletries; kitchen amenities including microwave, fridge, toaster oven, hot plate, and kettle; as well as small items like white noise machine. Bed was super comfy. Able to check in pretty early.
What could be improved: Upstairs neighbor can be loud at nightIllia from United States – 24 September 2023 (8/10)
Apartment is very nice, but be aware host is living on the property or close by.
Karin from United States – 21 August 2023 (9/10)
I loved how small and quaint it was, especially for a quick one night getaway. There’s plenty of space in the room, I could see myself staying here for longer.
What could be improved: Parking was a bit difficult to find as it’s street parking and you can hear the neighbors around you. There is no stove top, but the fridge is big and you get a toaster & microwave.
