Here’s what I love about staying in Fremont — you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the tourist chaos of Pike Place Market. The hotel’s location puts you within easy reach of the ship canal (hence the name, I’m guessing), and you can actually walk to some genuinely good local spots without fighting crowds. Couples seem to get this particularly well, which makes sense because there’s something inherently romantic about discovering a neighborhood that feels more like where locals actually hang out. The area has this laid-back vibe that’s hard to find in more central Seattle locations.

The Space Itself

The rooms strike that sweet spot between modern comfort and not trying too hard to impress. I mean, you’re not going to find over-the-top amenities here, but everything you actually need is thoughtfully done. The design feels clean without being sterile — sort of like someone’s really well-organized friend decorated their guest room, if that friend happened to have excellent taste. What really works is how the space feels genuinely restful, which honestly can be rare in a city hotel.

One thing that surprised me was how well-connected this area actually is. Sure, you’re not right downtown, but that ends up being a feature rather than a bug.   The bed was comfortable. Clean.
  
  What could be improved: Construction going on outside. Cold water shower. Near a school -(necessitating a background check for sex offenders? ) the surcharges inflate the price from under 100$ a night to 300$ a night. and it’s why i never go with Airbnb. This home was made just for this purpose of making revenue for some entity and I don’t like how it impacts the community.
