Sheraton Grand Seattle Overview

First Impressions

Walking into the Sheraton Grand Seattle, you immediately feel like you’re in the heart of the action. This four-star property sits right on Sixth Avenue in the Central Business District, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — I mean, you’re literally steps away from Pike Place Market and the waterfront. The lobby has that polished corporate feel without being stuffy, and the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing (which isn’t always a given, you know?).

Location & Getting Around

Here’s what I love about staying here — you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing in Seattle. Pike Place Market is maybe a five-minute stroll, the waterfront is right there, and if you’re into shopping, Nordstrom and all the downtown stores are practically next door. The couples who stay here really get it — there’s something romantic about being able to wander through the market in the morning, then walk back for a quick refresh before dinner. Parking is available on-site, which is honestly a relief because finding a spot downtown can be a nightmare.

The Room Experience

The room I stayed in was on the 20th floor with a view toward Elliott Bay — not the most dramatic vista in the world, but you get a real sense of the city’s energy from up there. What really impressed me was the bed situation; they weren’t kidding about the comfort factor. I’m usually pretty picky about hotel mattresses, but I actually slept through the night without tossing around. The rooms have that modern business hotel aesthetic — clean lines, neutral colors, decent workspace if you need to get some work done.

Breakfast & Dining

Breakfast here gives you options, which I appreciate. They do the full buffet spread, but you can also grab continental items or even get something to go if you’re rushing out to catch a ferry or whatever. The American breakfast items are solid — nothing groundbreaking, but the eggs are actually hot and the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around for hours. There’s also a restaurant on-site that’s decent for dinner, though honestly, with all the amazing food options within walking distance, you might want to explore a bit.

Why Guests Love It

Look, this isn’t the most glamorous hotel in Seattle, but it delivers on the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. The location score of 9.3 isn’t just marketing fluff — you really can walk everywhere, and that saves you time and money on transportation. The beds live up to the hype, which means you’ll actually feel rested for whatever you’ve got planned the next day. It’s the kind of place where everything works the way it should, without any unpleasant surprises when you check out.

Reviews of Sheraton Grand Seattle

  • Joseph from Canada – 13 May 2025 (8/10)

Location, room, friendly and helpful staff.

What could be improved: Price of parking. Outrageous “destination fee”.

  • Cynthia from United States – 15 March 2025 (9/10)

Proximity to various locations including restaurants, and other tourist attractions. Also enjoyed credits for certain designated restaurants and Uber.

What could be improved: Would like to have had a gift shop to purchase items needed.

  • Diana from Hong Kong – 24 February 2025 (8/10)

The hotel location is excellent. Walking distance to many attractions and restaurants, and conveniently located for the conference centres. The gym and pool have good hours of operation.

What could be improved: Staff couldn’t recommend any nearby restaurants or answer basic questions about the neighbourhood. They offered to Google things, but I was hoping for personal knowledge. One staff member said she wasn’t familiar with the area (downtown). Basic comfort items for a hotel of this price point were missing: no bath robes to travel to and from the pool, which is in a different tower; no amenities kit in the bathroom; WiFi was pay-to-use (refunded for some room types).

  • Michael from United States – 6 February 2025 (8/10)

Clean. Starbucks in hotel. Great wine bar. Location.

What could be improved: Only a very small pantry for snacks available and you have to pay with front desk so you might have to wait a long time to pay. Front desk attendants were new and training too. Preoccupied with processes and not smiles and courteousness. Mattresses were hard which hurts side sleepers

  • Kirsten from United States – 6 December 2024 (9/10)

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfy, the hotel was beautiful inside and even had a Starbucks! We were given a $10 voucher for Uber, which was great since we were there for a concert and loved the idea of being dropped off in front of the venue. We also were gifted a $25 voucher for the restaurant on site or the Starbucks. That was a great surprise! In addition, the annual Gingerbread House contest was on display and that was amazing!

What could be improved: The valet parking was pricy, but then parking in downtown Seattle overnight is not cheap.

  • Janis from United States – 19 November 2024 (8/10)

    Location and beauty

What could be improved: Could have used better toilet paper and should have had some body lotion in the bathroom.

  • Yuheng from United States – 29 October 2024 (9/10)

What could be improved: Parking is a problem, it’s kinda cro

  • Yasin from United States – 23 October 2024 (7/10)

    Location, vibrant lobby, Starbucks

What could be improved: They charge $25 up front for food and if you don’t use it you lose it.

  • Baiba from Canada – 22 October 2024 (8/10)

Rooms were awesome, comfortable, location was great very central

What could be improved: The pool is very shallow and no sauna or hot tub
