My room was honestly better than I expected from the photos — and I mean that in the best way. Here’s what the guidebooks won’t tell you — staying in Wallingford means you’re close enough to everything but far enough from the chaos. You can catch a bus downtown in about fifteen minutes, but you can also walk to the Fremont Sunday Market or grab dinner at one of those hole-in-the-wall Thai places that locals actually frequent. The parking situation is refreshingly stress-free compared to downtown Seattle, and there’s something to be said for not having to navigate Pike Street traffic every time you want to leave your hotel.

  Beautiful, clean 100 year old home in a fantastic Seattle location. There was plenty of space for my husband, myself, our five grown children and two fur babies.
